Thanks to the narrow and typical streets surrounding “La Gaia”, traffic hardly exists and therefore it is possible to have long walks thorough open spaces and quiteness easily reaching the Piazzale Michelangelo, Forte Belvedere and downtown.
At a short distance you can find Arcetri’s Observatory and Villa “Il Gioiello”, places where Galileo Galilei lived and worked, close to the convent where his daughter Maria Celeste was a nun (homonymous street).
